Ham Ravioli

I've been making this for a couple of years now. I found the recipe in a quick cooking taste of home magazine. Now I realize I forgot to put in the chopped onion - I was going off of memory and didn't look up the recipe.

For the first time, I tried making homemade alfredo sauce instead of using store bought. The alfredo sauce was a little runnier than I would have liked it, but it worked and tasted pretty good.

Tonight to save some time, I didn't bake the this dish in the oven, I just mixed everything together in the pot I used to boil the ravioli and heated everything through once it was mixed.

Ingredients:

1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
16 oz diced ham
sliced mushrooms
1 chopped green pepper
1/2 ish chopped large onion
alfredo sauce (see below)
Olive or Canola oil

Instructions:

Prepare ravioli according to package directions. In the mean time, cook the ham, green pepper, onions, and mushrooms in oil. Add about half of the alfredo sauce.

Drain ravioli. Add ham mixture to pasta and mix with remaining sauce. Either heat on the stove until heated through or put in casserole dish, cover with foil, and bake at 375 degrees 20 minutes or until heated through.

Alfredo Sauce:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
8 oz package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk
6 oz grated parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

Melt the butter in a sauce plan. Add cream cheese and garlic powder. Stir with a whisk until smooth. Add the milk a little at a time, while whisking to smooth out any lumps. Stir in the parmesan cheese and pepper.
